Résumé de la conférence "Chiroptical Studies on Molecular Motors" - 12 Juin 2017 :
In this presentation, the focus is on the chiroptical properties and dynamic stereochemistry of functional molecular systems. We design chiroptical molecular switches and unidirectional rotary motors in which molecular motion is coupled to specific functions. The design, synthesis and isomerization processes of rotary molecular motors will be discussed illustrating basic stereochemical features of distinct classes of motor molecules, the amplification and transmission of chirality and the control of motion at different length scales. Both photochemical driven systems and chemically powered rotary motors are presented.
